This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents"

This document replaces GB/T 8553-1987 "General Specification for Crystal Boxes". Compared with GB/T 8553-1987, except for structural adjustment and editing
In addition to the modifications, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) The technical requirements and test methods for materials are deleted (see 3.2 of the 1987 edition);
b) Added crystal box content for SMD packaging and ceramic packaging types [see 4.6.2.2b), 4.6.2.3.2, 4.7, 4.8.1.3, 4.8.2.3,
4.10.2.2, 4.12.1.2.2, Table 2, Table 3];
c) Added appearance, coating thickness requirements and test methods (see 4.3);
d) Added insulation resistance requirements (see 4.4);
e) Added requirements for flexural strength (see 4.7);
f) Added requirements for air tightness of the base after encapsulation (see 4.9);
g) Added limit requirements for environmentally hazardous substances (see Chapter 6).
