This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 8298-2008 "Determination of the total solid content of natural latex." This standard and GB/T 8298-
2008 compared to the main technical changes are as follows.
--- Modify the standard name for the "determination of total latex solids content";
--- Modify the scope, increased for fresh natural latex and synthetic latex (see Chapter 1,.2008 edition Chapter 1);

1 Scope
This standard specifies the method of determination of the total solids content of fresh natural latex, concentrated natural latex and synthetic latex.
This standard applies to the source of natural rubber clover tree in Brazil and synthetic latex.
This standard does not necessarily apply to natural latex and vulcanized latex from sources other than the Trifolvus, with latex or rubber water dispersions.
