This standard is GB/T 8264-1987 "Painting technical term" amendment.
This standard replaces GB/T 8264-1987 "Painting technical term." Compared with GB/T 8264-1987, the main changes are as follows.
--- According to GB/T 1.1-2000 requirements, increasing the preamble;
--- According to GB/T 1.1-2000 requirements, increasing the scope of the first part of the chapter;
--- To meet the market development, modification of general technical terms - an increase of long-term painting, painting, and other complex terminology;
--- Remove the fifth chapter "dust-dry" term;
--- Added "silane treatment," "distinctness of image", "shrinkage", "salt spray test" and other terms.
This standard was proposed by the State Administration of Work Safety.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the coating technique commonly used terms and their definitions or descriptions.
