This standard according to GB/T 8175-1987 "equipment and pipe insulation design guidelines" and GB/T 15586-1995 "equipment and pipes
Cold Design Guidelines "content integration amendments made.
This standard also replace the GB/T 8175-1987 and GB/T 15586-1995.
This standard and GB /and GB/T 15586-1995 compared to the main changes in T 8175-1987 as follows.
--- Insulation materials, cold material requirements are consistent with the relevant requirements of GB/T 4272's;
--- Modify the requirements of low-temperature adhesives;
--- Increased requirements of waterproof material in Chapter 4;
--- Calculation method increases buried pipe insulation;
--- Waterproof layer to increase the requirements in the insulating structure requirements.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the basic principles of thermal insulation design, performance requirements and the principle of selection insulation material and the main auxiliary materials, insulation meter
Operators, the main technical requirements for construction cold calculation, structural insulation and insulation engineering.
This standard applies to general equipment and piping. Does not apply to ships, nuclear power and industrial furnaces and boilers lined with special requirements
Means facilities.
Construction of temporary facilities, pipelines and heating pipes of various thermal instrumentation system is not bound by this standard.

The basic principles of design of thermal insulation 3
3.1 Insulation should be designed to conform reduce heat loss and save energy, meet the technical requirements to maintain production capacity, improve economic efficiency, improve work
Environment, to prevent burns and other basic principles.
3.1.1 with the following conditions of equipment, pipes, fittings, valves, etc. (Hereinafter, pipes, fittings, valves, etc. collectively referred to as pipelines) should be insulated.
a) an outer surface temperature greater than 323K (50 ℃) [ambient temperature of the surface temperature of 298K (25 ℃) time], as well as necessary requirements

3.1.3 Surface temperatures in excess of 333K (60 ℃) without insulation equipment and pipelines, need regular maintenance and can not adopt other measures to prevent burns
The site of anti-scald insulation should be set within the following range.
a) height from the floor or work platform is less than 2.1m;
b) close to platform distance of less than 0.75m.
