This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 6027-1998 "Industrial n-butanol". Compared with GB/T 6027-1998, except for structural adjustments and editorial changes, In addition, the main technical changes are as follows. a) Changed the scope of application (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.1998 edition); b) Changed the technical requirements (see Table 1, Table 1 of the.1998 edition); c) Added a method for measuring appearance (see 5.2); d) Added the method of measuring colorimetry by tristimulus colorimetry (see 5.3); e) The method for determining boiling range is deleted (see 4.3 of the.1998 edition); f) The method for determining density has been changed (see 5.4, 4.2 of the.1998 edition); g) The determination method of n-butanol content has been changed and the determination method of isobutanol content has been added (see 5.5, 4.4 of the.1998 edition); h) The calculation formula for acidity determination has been changed (see 5.7.5, 4.6.5 of the.1998 edition); i) Added the method of determining moisture by Karl Fischer Coulomb coulometric method (see 5.8.2). 1 Scope

This document specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and accompanying documents, packaging, transportation and storage of n-butanol for industrial use. This document applies to n-butanol for industrial use produced by synthetic methods. Note. The molecular formula of n-butanol is C4H10O, the structural formula is CH3(CH2)3OH, and the relative molecular mass is 74.12 (according to the 2022 international relative atomic mass).
