This standard replaces GB/T 5508-1985 "grain and oilseeds test powder sand content determination."
This standard and GB/T 5508-1985 main technical differences are as follows.

This standard applies to the determination of the amount of sand grain flours other than sand and dust with sesame powder of co-precipitated.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
3.1
Flour grain powder-typegrain
Raw grain, processed into oil referred to certain fineness of the powder.
3.2
Sand content sandcontent
The amount of the inorganic sand and dust flour food contained in the sample in order to account for the total mass of sand and dust content representation (%).
