This document establishes the procedures for felling trees, specifies the types and methods of felling, forest regeneration, felling area survey and design,
Technical requirements for forest felling operations, operational safety and protection measures, felling area inspection and acceptance, and file management.
This document applies to the felling of all types of trees on forest land, and shall serve as a reference for the felling of trees on non-forest land.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

Trees with a DBH of more than 5 cm and bamboos with a DBH of more than 2 cm.

A forest area with the same or similar internal structure and characteristics and clearly distinguishable from adjacent areas.
