3.1 Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 9937 and the following apply to this document.

Dental surgeon's chair
A chair that can adjust height and move position to meet the general requirements of dentists when sitting and working.
3.1.2
anterio-posterior plane
Divide the dentist's chair into a left and right vertical plane.
3.1.3
seat height
The vertical distance between the ground and the point of insertion of the axis of rotation of the seat's load-bearing or non-load-bearing surface.
3.1.4
Seat width
The horizontal dimension of the widest part between the upper edges of the seat on both sides, measured perpendicular to the central symmetry dividing plane.
3.1.5
seat depth
The horizontal dimension between the front vertical projection and the edge of the seat back measured along the width center point on the central symmetry dividing plane.
NOTE. If the seat is provided with a backrest, this dimension is measured as the distance between the forwardmost position of the centre line of the backrest and the normal projection of the front edge of the seat.
