1 Scope

This document specifies requirements and recommendations related to automated infrastructure management (AIM) systems. This document explains how an AIM system can help improve operational efficiency for. a) management of the cabling infrastructure and its connecting equipment; b) equipment and IT management processes and systems; c) Other network-related management processes and systems (such as intelligent building systems); d) A business information system that includes asset tracking, asset management, and alerts and alerts for cyber-physical layer security-related events. For AIM systems that support the optional function of providing remote power supply, this document gives supplementary management requirements and recommendations. This document specifies the requirements and recommended framework for data exchange with other systems.
