This document specifies the system design, system installation and engineering acceptance of heat pump hot water systems for commercial or industrial and similar use.
This document applies to the use of electric motor-driven, vapor compression refrigeration cycle, with a nominal heating capacity of 3000W or more, using air or water as heat

A system that absorbs thermal energy from the environment (air or water) to produce and supply hot water by operating a heat pump hot water unit.
