1 Scope
This document specifies friction welding of pipe body and butt-welded drill pipe joints with thickened ends for use in oil and gas drilling and production operations.

This document applies to the manufacture and inspection of friction-welded all-titanium alloy drill pipes.
The titanium alloy drill pipe in this document is divided into three grades. TD95, TD105 and TD120 according to the nominal yield strength of the pipe body.
This document does not deal with the physical properties and evaluation methods of titanium alloy drill pipes.
