Introduction
At present, domestic plastic pipes use metric series, but most of the cooling water pipes used in nuclear power plants use IPS series.
For supporting use, the pipe size in this document gives both the metric series and the IPS series for users to choose and use.
Polyethylene (PE) pipes and fittings for nuclear power plants
1 Scope
This document stipulates that polyethylene pipes (hereinafter referred to as pipes) and injection molded polyethylene (PE) blends as raw materials are extruded
Or machined or welded polyethylene pipe fittings (hereinafter referred to as pipe fittings) material, pipe fitting classification, requirements, system applicability, test method
Laws, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation and storage.
This document is applicable to nuclear power plant cooling water and general cooling water with water temperature not greater than 60℃ and hydrostatic design stress (HDS) not greater than 6.90MPa
Use polyethylene pipes and fittings for pressure water delivery.
Note 1.The reference working temperature is 23℃. Appendix A gives the hydrostatic design stress (HDS) of polyethylene pipes with a working temperature between 0℃ and 60℃.
This document is suitable for DN (IPS series) 1/2in (21.3mm) ~ 54in (1371.1mm) and dn (metric series) 16mm~
1600mm polyethylene pipes and fittings.
Note 2.The purchaser has the responsibility to appropriately select the products specified in this document according to their specific application requirements and in combination with relevant regulations, standards or specifications.
