3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions defined in GB/T 50125 and HY/T 203.2 apply to this document. 3.1 Desalinated water Water obtained directly after treatment in the desalination process of a desalination plant. 3.2 Post-processing The water quality treatment process for desalinated water for the purpose of entering the water distribution network. 3.3 Mineralization The water quality adjustment process of adding minerals to desalinated water. 3.4 Lime saturator Facilities for preparing saturated lime water are used to regulate the pH, hardness and alkalinity of desalinated water. 3.5 Limestone contactor A facility for dissolving limestone fillers to control the pH, hardness and alkalinity of desalinated water. 3.6 Factory water The water that is about to enter the water distribution network after all the processes in the desalination plant are processed.

4 Design principles

4.1 After comprehensively considering the characteristics of the upstream seawater desalination process and the requirements for external supply of factory water, and after technical and economic comparisons, the seawater desalination water is determined
