Introduction
0.1 Principle
This standard is based on the premise that at least the same safety as the wire rope suspension device for elevators is provided, and the technology of the non-wire rope suspension device for elevators is given.
Technical requirements.
0.2 Assumption
0.2.1 In addition to the provisions of this standard, elevators using non-wire rope suspension devices comply with the relevant provisions of GB 7588 or GB/T 21739.
0.2.2 The supplier and the demander have negotiated and reached agreement on the following.
a) The intended use of the elevator;
b) Environmental conditions, such as temperature, humidity, exposure to sunlight, wind, snow or corrosive air;
c) Other matters related to the installation site.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the classification, technical requirements, inspection, testing, inspection rules, and acceptance of non-wire rope suspension devices for elevators.
This standard applies to non-steel rope suspension devices that use steel wire ropes or non-metallic materials as the load bearing body involved in traction-driven elevators.
For non-wire rope suspension devices of other new materials or structures, refer to this standard, and the inapplicable part shall be determined through negotiation between the supplier and the buyer.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions defined in GB 7588 apply to this document.
3.1
Non-wire rope suspension
The suspension device for elevators other than the wire rope suspension device includes a covering rope, a covering belt and its termination device.
3.2
Carrier
The covering rope and covering belt are the parts that bear the breaking force.
3.3
Coated rope
A rope-like composite structure in which one or more layers of non-metallic materials wrap a single carrier.
3.4
Cover tape
One or more layers of non-metallic materials wrap the belt-shaped composite structure of multiple carriers.
3.5
Cladding
The non-metallic material that wraps the carrier.
3.6
Minimum breaking force
A specified value, the breaking force measured according to the specified method shall not be lower than the specified value.
