This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1.Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents"
Drafting.
This document replaces GB/T 24477-2009 "Additional requirements for elevators for people with disabilities" and is consistent with GB/T 24477-2009.
In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) The scope of application has been changed (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2009 edition);
b) The “Terms and Definitions” have been changed (see Chapter 3, Chapter 3 of the.2009 edition);
c) Changed “significant hazards and obstacles affecting accessibility” (see Chapter 4, Chapter 4 and Appendix C of the.2009 edition);
d) Changed the "General Principles" of "Safety Requirements and/or Protective Measures" and added specific requirements for brightness contrast (see 5.1,.2009 Edition).

1 Scope
This document specifies the minimum requirements for the safe and independent access to and use of lifts by persons, including persons with disabilities.
This document is intended to meet the needs of persons with the types of disabilities mentioned in Appendix A.
NOTE Guidance on improving accessibility and usability is provided in Appendix B.
