By measuring the strength of the lead core after bending to the breaking point, using the prescribed test method and calculation formula.
4 Bending strength
4.1 Overview
The bending strength of the HB lead core used for mechanical pencils is tested in Chapter 5 and should meet the requirements of 4.2.
4.2 Bending strength of mechanical pencil HB black lead core
The bending strength (σ) should not be less than the corresponding value of each nominal diameter specified in Table 1.
