Foreword
GB/T 38696 "Eye and face protection strong light source (non-laser) protective glasses" is divided into two parts.
---Part 1.Technical requirements;
---Part 2.User guide.
This part is Part 2 of GB/T 38696.
This section was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This part uses the redrafting method to modify and adopt ISO 12609-2.2013 "Human and animal beauty and medical use strong light source protective glasses Part 2
Points. User Guide.
Compared with ISO 12609-2.2013, there are structural changes in this part, adding Chapter 2, annex D and annex E to annex D.
The technical differences between this part and ISO 12609-2.2013 and the reasons are as follows.
---Rewritten the scope of application, while increasing the scope of unsuitability to meet the actual use of strong light source protective glasses in my country;
--- Added Chapter 2.
This part is proposed by the Ministry of Emergency Management of the People's Republic of China.
This part is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Personal Protective Equipment (SAC/TC112).

1 Scope
This part of GB/T 38696 stipulates the risk assessment and control measures of optical radiation damage of protective glasses with strong light sources (non-laser), protective glasses
Selection, wearing comfort and secondary safety.
This section applies to eye protectors that protect against strong light sources with radiation wavelengths between 250nm and 3000nm.
This section provides guidelines for the selection of strong light source (non-laser) protective glasses to prevent eyes from being exposed to light from strong light source (non-laser) equipment
Spectral output damage provides a more stringent set of protection procedures for users, manufacturers, suppliers and strong light source (non-laser) protective glasses
Used by safety consulting agencies.
This section does not apply to welding goggles, laser goggles, sunglasses, ophthalmic instruments, sun exposure or other medical beauty equipment assembled
part.
Note. Strong light source goggles are widely used in industrial processing, food processing, greenhouse cultivation, medical beauty, water treatment, light curing and other fields where there is a strong light source hazard.
