1 Scope
This part of GB/T 37363 specifies the determination of isothiazoline in coatings by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry/mass spectrometry and liquid chromatography.

3 Principle
Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry/Mass Spectrometry. Using methanol as extraction solvent, ultrasonic extraction and centrifugation were combined to extract samples.
Isothiazolinone biocide, determined by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry/mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS), with retention time and selection

Liquid Chromatography. Extraction of isothiazolinones from samples by ultrasonic extraction and centrifugation using methanol as extraction solvent
The biocide is detected by liquid chromatography (LC), characterized by retention time, and quantified by external standard method.
Note 1. Other confirmed suitable solvents can also be selected as the extraction solvent.
Note 2. The liquid chromatograms in this section include high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and ultra performance liquid chromatography (UPLC).
4 reagents and materials
Unless otherwise specified, only reagents identified as analytically pure and above purity and those meeting the requirements of GB/T 6682-2008 are used in the analysis.
First grade water.
4.1 Isothiazolinone calibration compounds such as MI, CMI, BIT, OIT, DCOIT.
Note. CMI can also be used with known solutions.
4.2 Methanol. Chromatographically pure.
