1 Scope
This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods and inspection rules for non-metallic rubber-based wet friction materials (hereinafter referred to as "friction materials").

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

Midpoint dynamic friction coefficient midpointcoefficient
In the dynamic joint test, the coefficient of dynamic friction measured at the midpoint of the braking time.
3.2
Static friction coefficient breakawaycoefficient
Static motor drive speed and static torque time shall be specified during the measurement by static joint test.

End dynamic friction coefficient endpointcoefficient
The coefficient of dynamic friction measured at the end of the dynamic joint test.

Wear amount wear
The difference in thickness (in millimeters) before and after the friction material test under specified conditions.
