3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Access point access point; AP
Any entity that has STA functionality and provides access to distributed services through WM for associated STAs.
3.2
Associate association
The distributed system service that the STA can invoke to establish mapping between APs.
3.3
Identification of authentication
Used to establish the identity authorization of the STA to associate the services of other members in the STA set.
3.4
Basic service area basicservicearea; BSA
A conceptual area in which members can communicate.
3.5
Basic service set basicserviceset; BSS
A set of STAs controlled by a single coordination function has at least one AP and one STA.
