This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1:1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents"
Drafting:
This document replaces GB/T 3499-2011 "Pristine Magnesium Ingots": Compared with GB/T 3499-2011, except for structural adjustments and editorial changes
In addition, the main technical changes are as follows:
a) The scope of application has been expanded and the content of electrolytic magnesium production by brine method has been added (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the:2011 edition);
b) The product classification has been changed and two brands, Mg99:995 and Mg99:95C, have been added (see Chapter 4, 3:1 of the:2011 edition);
c) The limit values of impurity elements for the two brands Mg99:99 and Mg99:98 have been changed (see 5:1, 3:2:1 of the:2011 edition);
d) Changed the sampling and sample preparation for chemical composition analysis (see 7:4:1, 5:4 of the:2011 version);
e) Packaging requirements have been changed (see 8:2, 6:2 of the:2011 version);
f) Changes in transportation requirements (see 8:3, 6:3 of the:2011 edition):
