1 Scope
This document specifies the design, performance and marking characteristics of Type I inflatable liferafts and gives test methods.

---Suitable for being dropped from a boat with a height not higher than 6m;
--- Distinguish into two categories (Class A and Class B);
--- Designed for long voyages in high winds and waves but excluding extreme conditions such as hurricanes;

--- Can deal with various emergency situations without external assistance;
--- Not sailing in extreme sailing areas (such as the Southern Ocean).
