This document replaces GB/T 31907-2015 "Clothing Measurement Methods". Compared with GB/T 31907-2015, except for structural adjustments and editing
In addition to the changes in performance, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) The requirements for measuring tools have been changed (see Chapter 4, Chapter 3 of the.2015 edition);
b) The requirements for measurement procedures have been changed (see Chapter 5, Chapter 4 of the.2015 edition);

Clothing Measurement Methods
1 Scope
This document describes the measurement methods for the main dimensions of various types of clothing.
This document is applicable to the measurement of the specifications and dimensions of the main parts of various types of clothing, the production of clothing size measurement tables, clothing structure design, sample review,
Clothing production, clothing inspection, quality control and clothing performance testing (such as the determination of clothing size changes), etc.

3 Terms and definitions

4.Measuring tools
4.1 Measuring table
The surface of the measuring table should be flat, smooth and clean, and its size should ensure that the garment can be laid flat.
4.2 Measuring ruler
4.2.1 Use a tape measure or ruler with a graduation value of 1 mm, which is stable, does not stretch, and has clear scales.
4.2.2 The measuring tape should be checked to ensure that it is free from damage and deformation.
5 Measurement procedure
5.1 Clothing preparation
5.1.1 Ensure that the surface of the garment to be tested is flat and free of unnecessary wrinkles and creases.
5.1.2 Ensure that the garments to be tested are not subjected to mechanical stretching, especially knitted garments.
5.2 Measurement conditions
5.2.1 When the relevant stakeholders have requirements for the clothing measurement environment, clothing size measurement should be carried out in the standard atmosphere specified in GB/T 6529.
Carry out humidity adjustment and testing.
5.2.2 The finished product dimensions are generally measured using lighting with an illumination of not less than 600lx. Northern skylight may also be used if conditions permit.
