1 Scope
This part of GB/T 31370 specifies the test method for the contrast of flat panel display (FPD) color filters.
This section applies to flat panel display (FPD) color filter manufacturing, quality control and development work.
2 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
2.1
Bright state lightstatebrightness
The brightness measured by the color filter at the maximum brightness of the device.
2.2
Dark state brightness darkstatebrightness
The brightness measured by the color filter at the minimum brightness of the device.
2.3
Contrast contraststratio
The ratio of the brightness of the color filter to the brightness of the dark state.

Maximum brightness state maximumbrightnessstate
The two polarization plates of the test device are parallel and the polarization directions are the same, and the light of the light source passes through the two polarizers to have the highest brightness.
2.5
Minimum brightness state minimumbrightnessstate
The test device has two polarizing plates in parallel and a polarization direction perpendicular to the state in which the light of the light source passes through the two polarizers and the brightness is the smallest.

Blank state extinction ratio blankextinctionratio
The ratio of the maximum brightness state luminance to the minimum luminance state luminance when the test device is not placed with the sample.

The area of the pixel that is normally displayed on the display.
3 Method Overview
Turn on the test equipment to warm it up to ensure that the light source is in a stable state. The test equipment is shown in Figure 1. Adjust the position of the polarizer and the light source
