Gas chromatography - mass spectrometry
1 Scope
This standard specifies chlorobutanol in cosmetics by gas chromatography - mass spectrometry.
This standard applies to creams, liquid, loose powder, shampoo, lipstick Cosmetics Determination chlorobutanol.
The standard for chlorobutanol detection limit of 0.15mg/kg, the limit of quantification of 0.4mg/kg.
Principle 2
By solvent extraction of the sample, after centrifugation, by gas chromatography - mass spectrometry, external standard.
3 Reagents and materials
Unless otherwise specified, the reagents were of analytical grade.
3.1 Methanol. chromatographically pure.
3.2 ethanol. chromatography.
3.3 chlorobutanol standard substance. Formula C4H7Cl3O, CAS No. 57-15-8, purity of not less than 99%, the formula in Appendix A

3.4 anhydrous sodium sulfate. ignited by 650 ℃ 4h placed in the dryer.
3.5 chlorobutanol standard stock solution. accurately weighed amount of chlorobutanol standard substance (accurate to 0.0001g), anhydrous ethanol
(3.2) formulated at a concentration of 1000μg/mL standard stock solution, and stored in the dark at 4 ℃, can be used for three months.
3.6 50% methanol - ethanol solution. accurately weighed 50mL of methanol and 50mL of anhydrous ethanol, mix and reserve.
4 instruments and equipment
4.1 Gas chromatography - mass spectrometry (GC-MS) instrument. with electron impact ionization (EI).
4.2 Analysis of balance. a sense of the amount of 0.0001g and 0.001g.
4.3 centrifuge. speed of not less than 5000r/min.
4.4 ultrasonic bath.
4.5 plug cuvette. 10mL.
4.6 stoppered conical flask. 50mL.
4.7 plug teflon plastic centrifuge tube. 50mL.
4.8 microporous membrane. 0.45μm, organic phase.
