This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1.Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents"

This document replaces GB/T 24931-2010 "Installation requirements for lighting and light signal devices for all-terrain vehicles" and is compatible with GB/T 24931-
Compared with.2010, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) Added the term and definition of "step light" (see 3.2);
b) Add the vertical inclination requirements and measurement methods for the dipped beam headlights (see 5.2.5.2);
c) The installation conditions of some lamps have been changed (see Table 1, Table 1 of the.2010 edition);
d) The number of lamps installed, the number of brake lights, the number of side reflectors, etc. have been changed (see Chapter 5);
e) Added the installation requirements for daytime running lights (see 5.14);
f) The illustrations of the definition of the luminaire surface, reference axis, reference center and collective visibility angle have been deleted (see Appendix A of the.2010 edition);
g) The horizontal angle of geometric visibility of turn signal lamps has been deleted (see Appendix C of the.2010 edition);
h) Added the environmental requirements for automatic switching of low beam headlights (see Appendix B);
i) Added the requirements for the configuration and light color of all-terrain vehicle lamps (see Appendix C);
j) Added the calculation method of the vertical inclination of the near-brightness cut-off line and the inclination of the center of the ADB maximum illumination area (see Appendix D);
k) The apparent surface observation area of the step lights has been increased (see Appendix E).

1 Scope
This document specifies the general requirements, special provisions, inspection rules, and the same type of external lighting and light signaling devices for all-terrain vehicles.

3 Terms and definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB 4785, GB/T 24936 and the following apply to this document.
3.1
Overall width
The distance between two planes parallel to the longitudinal plane of the vehicle and in contact with the vehicle.
Note. Except for the rearview mirrors, all fixed parts and lateral projections of the vehicle are between these two planes.
3.2
Exterior courtesy lamp
A lamp that provides auxiliary lighting for vehicle drivers and passengers when getting on or off the vehicle or loading and unloading cargo.
4 General requirements
4.1 The installation of lighting and light-signaling devices shall, under normal use, comply with the requirements of this document for each device and even if they are subject to vibration.
Vehicle requirements.
4.2 The installation of lighting devices should facilitate the correct adjustment of their aiming.
4.3 The reference axis of all lighting and light signal devices installed on the vehicle should be parallel to the parking surface of the vehicle on the road.
The reference axis of all lighting and light signal devices, except for reflectors, shall be parallel to the longitudinal symmetry plane of the vehicle; the reference axis of the side retro-reflectors shall be parallel to the longitudinal symmetry plane of the vehicle.
It should be perpendicular to the longitudinal symmetry plane of the vehicle. The tolerance in each direction is ±3°.
4.4 When checking the installation height and direction of the lamps, the vehicle to be tested should be unloaded and placed on a level surface, with its longitudinal symmetry plane vertical and the steering
Put the front wheels in the forward-facing straight-ahead position. The tire inflation pressure shall be in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer's regulations.
4.5 The installation of single or multiple lamps on a vehicle shall meet the following requirements.
