This standard compared with GB/T 2290-1994, the main changes are as follows.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements of coal tar, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage and quality certificate.
This standard applies to high-temperature coal tar obtained by processing low-temperature, medium temperature and high temperature coal tar pitch.
