Miscellaneous lampholders - Part 1.General requirements and tests
1 Scope
This document gives test methods for verifying the safety of lamps used in lampholders.
This document applies to various types of built-in miscellaneous lamp holders (for general lighting sources, projections equipped with various lamp holders listed in Appendix A
lamps, floodlights and street lighting).
This document also applies to integral lamp holders that are integrated with the lamp, but only involves the requirements for lamp holders.
This document also applies to lampholders incorporated into a housing and integrated into a dome similar to a screw lampholder. Further testing of this type of lamp holder is required
Follow the relevant provisions of IEC 60238.
There are separate standards for the requirements for tubular fluorescent lamp holders, screw lamp holders and bayonet lamp holders.
