Anxi Tieguanyin is one of the first teas to be included in the protection catalogue of the Agreement on Geographical Indications Protection and Cooperation between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the European Union.
The Anxi Tieguanyin tea culture system has been recognized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations as an important agricultural cultural heritage of the world.
