1 Scope
This document specifies the code structure and representation of means of transport types.
This document applies to the representation of means of transport type codes during information exchange and processing.

documents, only the version corresponding to that date applies to this document; for undated references, the latest edition (including all amendments) applies to

GB/T 6512 Mode of Transport Code (UN/CEFACTRec.19,MOD)
3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
meansoftransport
Mobile equipment used to complete the transport of goods or people.
3.2
modeoftransport
The use of different means of transportation and the form of transportation achieved through different organizational methods.
4 Code structure and representation
4.1 The type code of the means of transport consists of two parts. the mode of transport code and the type code.
4.2 The code of the mode of transport is given in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 6512.
4.3 The type code value consists of two parts of "A" and "B", which are 1-3 digits. Where "A" part is the general type description, "B"
Some are dependent or subtype specific descriptions.
Example.
For the means of transport type code is "1502", "1" indicates the mode of transport code, i.e. sea transport, "50" indicates the general type description part A code, i.e. "groceries"
Vessel", "2" for Dependent Type Specific Description Part B code, code "1502" for "timber/log carrier".
5 Types of means of transport code table
5.1 See Table 1 for the type code table of means of transport.
5.2 For the type codes of air transport vehicles, please refer to the Standard Information Manual for Flight Scheduling (SSIM) issued by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
