GB/T 18771 Tobacco Terminology is divided into the following 5 parts.
--- Part 1. Tobacco type and tobacco production;
--- Part 2. Tobacco products and tobacco processing;
--- Part 3. Tobacco materials;
--- Part 4. Quality evaluation and testing;
--- Part 5. Tobacco machinery and tobacco-specific testing equipment.
This part is the third part of GB/T 18771.
This section is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This section replaces GB/T 18771.3-2002 "Tobacco Terms Part 3. Tobacco Materials, Additives". This section is related to

1 Scope
This section of GB/T 18771 specifies the common terms for smoking materials.
This section applies to scientific research, education and training, production, operation, management and other activities of the tobacco industry.
Note. Tobacco materials refer to materials used in the processing and packaging of tobacco products in addition to tobacco.

Paper products used in the processing of cigarettes.

The cellulose paper between the profiled paper is a regular grooved filter rod.

Water-soluble or water-emulsion adhesive with water as the dispersion medium.
Note. It is mainly used for cigarette splice, filter fitting, filter rod center line, polypropylene tow filter rod (2.3.2) molding and cigarette packaging.

Starch glue starchedesive
Adhesive made with starch as the main raw material.
Note. It is mainly used for cigarette splice, filter fitting, filter rod center line and cigarette packaging.

Filter rod plasticizer
Spraying on the fiber tow during the forming process of the acetate fiber filter rod (2.3.1) is beneficial to the setting of the filter rod and has a plasticizing and solidifying effect on the filter rod
Processing aids.
Note. Mainly refers to glycerol triacetate for tobacco. Glyceryl triacetate for tobacco is prepared by esterification of glycerol with acetic acid or acetic anhydride under acid catalysis.

Tobacco additive
Substances used in the processing of tobacco products to improve the physical and chemical properties of tobacco and comply with standards for safe and hygienic use.
Note. There are mainly tobacco flavors (2.8.1.1) and tobacco flavors (2.8.2.1).

Spices
A substance with a certain scent or aroma.
Note 1. Including natural spices prepared by different methods, artificially prepared synthetic spices, and reaction spices.
