4 test methods

4.1 Test device The test device enables the cable to be tested to be pressed between a flat steel base plate and a movable steel plate and applied to a 100 mm long test cable The force should be uniform. The edge of the movable plate should be rounded with a radius of 5mm. The rounded edges are not contained within the 100mm flat section. Suitable test The device is shown in Figure 1. 4.2 Samples The sample should be of sufficient length for the specified test. Except as otherwise specified in relevant sub-standards or detailed specifications, the test temperature of the tested cable shall be maintained at 15°C~35°C. For cables with an outside diameter of less than 5mm, the tested cable can be tested in a loop. In this case, the applied force is the specified value Twice. The radius of the ring should be large enough to not affect the transmission characteristics of the cable. 4.3 Procedures The cable under test shall be mounted on the base plate of the test device to prevent lateral sliding. Use a rounded parallel plate to move on the test Apply a pressure load on the cable. The load should be applied gradually or stepwise to the value (F) specified in the relevant sub-specification or detail specification. There should be no Sudden change. The maximum load should last 2min. After removing the load, the cable under test can be restored for 2 minutes. If step loading, step load ratio Should not exceed 1.5.1.
