Foreword
This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1:1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents"
Drafting:
This document replaces GB/T 16763-2012 "Classification of Shaped Insulating Refractory Products": Compared with GB/T 16763-2012, except for structural adjustment
In addition to general and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:
a) The classification method of shaped thermal insulation refractory products has been changed (see Chapter 4, Chapter 4 of the:2012 edition);
b) The marking method has been changed (see Chapter 5, Chapter 5 of the:2012 edition):
This document has been modified to adopt ISO 2245:2006 "Classification of Shaped Thermal Insulating Refractory Products":
Compared with ISO 2245:2006, this document has many structural adjustments: See the comparison list of structural number changes between the two documents:
Appendix A:
Compared with ISO 2245:2006, this document has many technical differences: Vertical single words are used in the outer margins of the clauses involved:
They are marked with a line (|): A list of these technical differences and their causes is shown in Appendix B:
The following editorial changes have been made to this document:
---Change the name of the standard to "Classification of Shaped Insulation and Refractory Products";
---Deleted the note 3:1 in ISO 2245:2006:

3 Terms and definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 18930 and the following apply to this document:
3:1
Shaped refractory materials with a true porosity of not less than 45%:
4 categories
Shaped insulating refractory products are classified according to the heating permanent line change (shrinkage) test temperature and maximum average volume density:
Classification levels can be used in two ways:
a) Classify by Fahrenheit temperature: Use the test temperature (Fahrenheit) plus 50℉ when the heating permanent line change (shrinkage) is not greater than 2%
The first two digits of the obtained value, the volume density of the corresponding level should comply with the provisions of Table 1:
b) Temperature classification by degrees Celsius: Round to 50°C and remove the last digit:
