1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions of mullite insulating firebricks, their grades, shape and dimensions, technical requirements, test methods, and quality assessment. Procedures, packaging, marking, transportation, storage and quality certificates. This standard applies to thermal insulation layer of thermal kiln furnace or mullite insulation firebrick which does not directly contact working layer of high temperature molten material.
