Foreword
GB/T 16310 `` Code for Hazard Evaluation of Liquid Chemicals Transported in Bulk by Ships '' is divided into 5 parts.
--- Part 1. Test method for acute toxicity of aquatic organisms;
--- Part 2. Test method for aquatic organism accumulation;
--- Part 3. Test method for contamination of aquatic organisms;
--- Part 4. mammalian toxicity test methods;
--- Part 5. Hazard evaluation procedures and pollution classification methods.
This part is Part 5 of GB/T 16310.
This section is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This section replaces GB/T 16310.5-1996 "Hazard evaluation procedures and
Classification of Pollution. Compared with GB/T 16310.5-1996, the main technical changes of this part are as follows.
--- Added in the scope this section does not apply to oils, liquefied gases and radioactive materials (see Chapter 1);
--- Revised the definition of liquid chemicals (see 3.1.1, Chapter 3 of the.1996 edition);
--- Increased X-toxic liquid substances, Y-toxic liquid substances, Z-toxic liquid substances, other liquid substances and bioaccumulation
Terms and definitions (see 3.1.2 ~ 3.1.6);
--- Added symbols and abbreviations (see 3.2 and 3.3);
--- Increased evaluation indicators (see 4.1);
--- Revised the evaluation procedure (see 4.2, Chapter 4 of the.1996 edition);
--- Increased the hazardous schematic diagram of the substance (see 4.3);
--- Modified the classification method of liquid chemical pollution (see Chapter 5, 5.1 of the.1996 edition);
--- Increased the grouping of the mixture to be classified (see 6.1), and clarified the pollution classification method according to different groups (see 6.2 and 6.3).
Added Sp calculation formula, see formula (1);
--- Modified the content and format of the results report (see Chapter 7, Chapter 7 of the.1996 edition);
--- Added Appendix A, Appendix B and Appendix C.
This section is proposed and managed by the Ministry of Transport of the People's Republic of China.

Code for hazard evaluation of liquid chemicals transported in bulk by ships
Part 5. Hazard assessment procedures and pollution classification methods
1 Scope
This part of GB/T 16310 specifies the hazard evaluation procedures for liquid chemicals transported in bulk by ships, and the classification methods for liquid chemical pollution.
Methods, classification methods for contamination of mixtures, and reporting of results.
This section applies to the hazard evaluation and pollution classification of liquid chemicals transported in bulk by ships.
This section does not apply to the hazard evaluation and pollution classification of oil, liquefied gas and radioactive substances transported in bulk by ships.
Note 1. For the definition of oil, see Annex I of the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships.
Note 2. For the definition of liquefied gas, see the International Code for the Construction and Equipment of Ships Carrying Liquefied Gases in Bulk.
