This standard was drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules.
This standard replaces GB 15699-1995 "seed tobacco downy mildew quarantine rules," compared with GB 15699-1995 major technological changes
as follows.
--- Expand the scope to "a variety of immigration tobacco seeds, seedlings and tobacco downy mildew quarantine" (see Chapter 1, 1995 edition
Chapter 1);
--- Added "Normative references" (see Chapter 2);
--- Increased "technical principles" (see Chapter 4);
--- Added "tobacco leaf and seed" sample (see 6.1.2 and 6.1.3);
--- Added "tobacco leaf and seed" in the sporangia and spores stem test (see 6.2.2 and 6.2.3);
--- Added "tobacco" in the oospores detection (see 6.3.2);
--- Remove the appendix (1995 edition Appendix A, Appendix B, Appendix C and Appendix D);

4 technical principles
4.1 Principle quarantine
Tobacco downy mildew obligate parasite, after being infected tobacco leaf damage, fuzzy edges appear nearly circular chlorotic spots, post-formed light brown
Color necrotic lesion may fall off. Under appropriate temperature and humidity conditions, the surface of leaf lesions grow pale blue mold shaped, namely tobacco downy mildew sporangiophore
