This document replaces GB/T 15568-2008 "General-purpose Sheet Molding Compounds (SMC)". Compared with GB/T 15568-2008,

1 Scope
This document specifies the classification and marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, as well as marking, packaging, transportation, and other aspects of general-purpose sheet molding compounds.
Transport and storage requirements.
This document is applicable to glass fiber as reinforcement material and unsaturated polyester resin (UP) or vinyl ester resin (VE) as matrix material.
General-purpose sheet molding compound (hereinafter referred to as "general-purpose SMC").

4 Classification and labeling
4.1 Classification
4.1.1 General purpose SMC is classified according to the matrix resin, glass fiber mass content and shrinkage performance.
4.1.2 Matrix resin type. unsaturated polyester resin (UP), vinyl ester resin (VE).
4.1.3 Glass fiber mass content. 20%, 25%, 30%, 35%.
4.1.4 Shrinkage performance types. S1, S2, S3, S4.
