This document is part 3 of GB/T 1406 "Types and dimensions of lamp holders". GB/T 1406 has been published in the following parts.

This document replaces GB/T 1406.3-2021 "Types and dimensions of lamp holders Part 3.Prefocusing lamp holders" and
Compared with GB/T 1406.3-2021, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

This document is modified to adopt IEC 60061-1.2022 "Lamp holders, lampholders and gauges for testing their safety and interchangeability Part 1.

This document has made the following structural adjustments compared to IEC 60061-1.2022.
--- Added Chapter 1 "Scope", Chapter 2 "Normative References" and Chapter 3 "Terms and Definitions" to comply with the requirements of my country's standardization documents.
Provisions for the drafting of documents.
The technical differences between this document and IEC 60061-1.2022 and their reasons are as follows.
--- This document only retains the type and size requirements of pre-focused lamp holders in IEC 60061-1.2022, and deletes other types of lamps
The type and size requirements of the head to meet the structural settings of the parts of this document;
--- Added normative references GB/T 21098 and GB/T 1483.3 (see Chapter 4);
--- Deleted the restriction requirements of "size R" in the PGJ5 lamp holder loose-leaf, because there is no description in the corresponding figure (see Chapter 4);
--- Change "N2/2" and "N3/2" in the loose-leaf drawing of PU20d lamp holder to "N2" and "N3" to facilitate the understanding and use of the standard.
The following editorial changes were made to this document.
--- Change the name of the standard to "Types and dimensions of lamp holders Part 3.Prefocused lamp holders";
--- The loose-leaf number of lamp holder parameters is changed to add the national standard number before the IEC loose-leaf number;
--- The informative reference GB/T 19148.3 replaces the part of IEC 60061-2 that has been adopted by the national standard to facilitate coordination between standards

Introduction
As an important part of lamp accessories, interchangeability and safety are the basic requirements for ensuring safe production of lamp holders.
The purpose of this standard is to standardize the types and sizes of lamp holders and it is intended to consist of five parts.
--- Part 1.Screw-on lamp caps. The purpose is to specify the types, basic dimensions and inspection methods of screw-on lamp caps.
--- Part 2.Pin-type lamp holders. The purpose is to specify the type, basic dimensions and inspection methods of pin-type lamp holders.
--- Part 3.Prefocusing lamp caps. The purpose is to specify the type, basic dimensions and inspection methods of prefocusing lamp caps.
--- Part 4.Miscellaneous lamp caps. The purpose is to specify the types, basic dimensions and inspection methods of miscellaneous lamp caps.
--- Part 5.Bayonet lamp holders. The purpose is to specify the types, basic dimensions and inspection methods of bayonet lamp holders.
Since the release of GB/T 1406.3-2021, the types and sizes of lamp holders in it have been unable to meet the current interchangeability and safety requirements of lamp holders.
This revision updates the technical requirements for the types and dimensions of focusing lamp holders and adds the dimensional requirements for a variety of different types of lamp holders.
It is of great significance to product safety and quality, market regulation and improving the competitiveness of our country's products.

This document specifies the types, basic dimensions and inspection methods of prefocused lamp caps.
