1 Scope

This document stipulates the product classification, technical requirements, sampling, inspection rules, packaging, marking, storage and transportation of yak wool. The corresponding test methods are described. This document applies to the production, trading, processing and quality assessment of yak wool.

3 Terms and definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 5706, GB/T 11951, GB 18267 and GB/T 35936 and the following terms and definitions apply to this document. 3.1 Fibers with a diameter of 35 μm or less obtained from yaks. Note. Yak raw wool and combed yak wool are collectively called yak wool. 3.2 Fibers obtained from yaks have a diameter of more than 35 μm and the portion above 35 μm exceeds 1/2 of the total length of the fiber. 3.3 It is a mixed fiber of down obtained from yaks, mainly down with natural impurities and unprocessed down.
