This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 11716-2009 "small path logs". The main technical changes compared with GB/T 11716-2009
as follows.
--- Revised the normative reference document (see Chapter 2);
--- Added terms and definitions (see Chapter 3);
--- Revised the gauge diameter requirements (see 4.2.3);
--- Revised the allowable limit of heartwood decay defects (see 4.3);
--- Revised the allowable limit of insect eye defects (see 4.3);
--- Modified the bending method (see 4.3);
--- Modify the allowable limit of bending defects (see 4.3);
--- Increased requirements for inspection tools (see Chapter 5);
--- Removed Appendix A (see 4.3 of.2009 edition).
This standard was proposed by the National Forestry and Grassland Bureau.

4.1 Tree species
All coniferous and broadleaf species.
4.2 Dimensions and tolerances
4.2.1 Length of gauge. 2m~6m, upgraded by 0.2m.
4.2.2 Long-term tolerance. 6-2cm.
4.2.3 Measured diameter. 4cm~13cm, upgraded by 1cm, when the size is less than 1cm, the foot is 0.5cm, and less than 0.5cm.
4.3 Limits of defect tolerance
The allowable limits of defects shall comply with the requirements of Table 1.
