All the technical contents of this standard is mandatory.
This standard according to "People's Republic of China Food Sanitation Law."
This standard replaces GB 9690-1988 "melamine products used for food packaging hygiene standards."
This standard and GB 9690-1988 compared to the main changes are as follows.
--- The standard name changed to "food containers and packaging materials used melamine - formaldehyde moldings health standards";
--- Increase the scope, normative references, raw material requirements, test methods, labeling, packaging, transportation and storage;
--- Migrate formaldehyde monomer limited modified by 30mg/L to 2.5mg/dm2;
--- The physical and chemical indicators of the evaporation residue, potassium permanganate consumption, heavy metals limit unit from mg/L revised mg/dm2;
--- Increased melamine monomer migration indicators.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the melamine - formaldehyde moldings of raw material requirements, health requirements, test methods, labeling, packaging, transportation and storage.
This standard applies to melamine - formaldehyde resin as raw material, processed into food containers, packaging materials and food industry equipment,

3 raw material requirements
3.1 melamine - formaldehyde resin
The selected material under recommended conditions of use, should not release substances harmful to health.
3.2 Additives
Shall comply with the requirements of GB 9685's.

4.1 Sensory Index
Molded product should be normal color, a smooth, the same smell, no foreign body.
4.2 Physical indicators
Physical and chemical indicators should meet the requirements of Table 1.

5 test methods
5.1 Sensory Index
Using sensory test method for testing.
5.2 Physical indicators
According to GB/T 5009.156 methods of specimen preparation and pretreatment, then press method GB/T 5009.61 regulations were measured.
6 logo
6.1 should be GB/T 16288 regulations for product labeling material and inform the "food" and "non-use of heating in the microwave."
