1 Scope
This chapter of GB/T 4706.1-2024 is replaced by the following content.
This document specifies the safety requirements for electrically powered food waste disposers for household and similar use.
This document applies to electric food waste disposers for household and similar purposes with a rated voltage not exceeding 250 V.
Appliances intended for normal household use but which may nevertheless present a danger to the public, for example, intended for use by laymen in shops, in light industry and on farms
equipment.
As far as is practical, the common hazards presented by the appliances covered by this document are those which may be encountered by all persons in and around the home.
However, in general this document does not consider the following situations.
--- The following groups of people (including children) cannot use the appliance safely without supervision or guidance.
● due to physical, sensory or mental impairment; or
● Due to lack of experience and knowledge.
--- Children's play equipment.
Note 101.Pay attention to the following.
--- For equipment intended for use on vehicles, ships or aircraft, some additional requirements may be required;
--- The relevant national management departments may impose additional requirements on the equipment;
