1 Scope
This document defines the terms for the limits of hazardous substances in watch exterior parts that come into direct contact with human skin (hereinafter referred to as "watch exterior parts")

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
4 Requirements
4.1 General requirements
4.1.1 Nickel release
The nickel release limit value of metal and metal ceramics (including covering layers) should be less than 0.5 μg/cm2/week.
4.1.2 Limits of other hazardous substances
Leather watch exterior parts should comply with the requirements of GB 20400.The limits of harmful substances in watch exterior parts made of other materials should comply with the requirements of GB 20400.
Comply with the requirements of Table 1.
4.2 Requirements for the appearance of children's watches
4.2.1 Basic requirements
In addition to meeting the requirements of 4.1, the exterior parts of children's watches shall also meet the requirements of 4.2.2 and 4.2.3.
4.2.2 Migratable Elements
The content of migratable elements in the exterior parts of children's watches should not exceed the limit requirements specified in Table 2.
4.2.3 Restricted plasticizers
The content of limited plasticizers in the appearance of children's watches should not exceed the limit requirements specified in Table 3.
5 Test methods
5.1 Determination of nickel release
The samples with covering layer are tested according to the method of EN 12472; other samples are tested according to the method of EN 1811.
5.2 Determination of heavy metal elements
The contents of cadmium, lead and mercury are tested in accordance with the methods of GB/T 39560.301, GB/T 39560.4 and GB/T 39560.5.
5.3 Determination of harmful substances in leather
The test was carried out according to the method of GB 20400.
5.4 Determination of Migratable Elements
The test was carried out according to the method of GB 6675.4.
5.5 Determination of limited plasticizers
The test was carried out according to the method of GB/T 22048.
6 Inspection rules
6.1 Type inspection
Under normal production conditions, type inspection shall be carried out at least once a year, and the type inspection items shall include all the requirements listed in this document.
Type inspection should also be carried out in any of the following cases.
-- Finalization of new products;
--Products are produced in different places;
--The production process and materials have undergone significant changes;
--Resuming production after being suspended for three months or more.
6.2 Determination of test results
If the results of all test items meet the requirements of this document, the product is considered qualified; if one test result does not meet the requirements of this document
requirements, the product is judged as unqualified.
