Foreword
The standard 3.2 and Chapter 4, are mandatory, the rest are recommended.
This standard is based on the IMO SOLAS Convention (1974) and the 1978 Protocol and relevant amendments to the LSA
(LSA) rule, MSC resolution MSC. 81 (70) life-saving equipment testing and MSC. 200 (80) life-saving equipment testing amendment, MSC. 201
(81) amendments to SOLAS, MSC. 207 (81) the relevant requirements of the LSA Code amendments subject to revisions.
This standard replaces GB 4302-1984 "life preserver."
This standard compared with GB 4302-1984, mainly for the following changes.
--- Canceled wrapper lifebuoy relevant content;
--- A new classification of the type of life buoy;
--- Canceled lifebuoy materials physical chemistry performance indicators;
--- Increasing the life preserver and attachments appearance, size, weight, materials and function test, and temperature cycling tests and drop tests conducted
The modification;
--- Increased inspection rules, given the type test and factory inspection inspection items, requirements and test methods for the table;
--- Cancel the closed cell foam test method used lifebuoy.
The standard proposed by China State Shipbuilding Corporation.
This standard by the National Standardization Technical Committee loaded ship outfitting.
This standard was drafted. Wuxi Xingtai ship equipment Ltd., Technical and Economic Research Institute of China Shipbuilding Industry.

5.5 High temperature cycling
Lifebuoy experience the following temperature cycling process.
a) The lifebuoy into the room temperature, not lower than 65 ℃ high temperature environment, the sustained 8h;
b) after 8h, at normal temperature of 20 ℃ ± 3 ℃ left open 24h;
c) then placed in a cold room lifebuoy, not higher than -30 ℃ low temperature environment, the sustained 8h;
d) after 8h, at normal temperature of 20 ℃ ± 3 ℃ left open 24h;
e) is repeatedly performed a) ~ d) 10 cycles.
After the inspection test results should meet the requirements of 4.5.1.
5.6 drop
In the ship in the lightest seagoing draft status, whichever is greater between life buoy stock height on a ship or offshore and 30m height,
Lifebuoy in the throw overboard. Then, to the lifebuoy from 2m height fell to the concrete floor vote, repeated three times. Results should conform to 4.5.2
