This standard replaces GA/T 724-2007 "Handprint Identification Procedure". 1 Scope

This standard specifies the steps and requirements for fingerprint identification in the field of forensic science. This standard applies to criminal cases, civil cases, administrative cases and other fingerprint identification involving personal identification.

4 Preparation before fingerprint identification

4.1 Requirements for appraisers and auditors Fingerprint identification should be completed by two (or more) qualified persons and meet the requirements for qualification. Each appraiser should proceed first Independent appraisal, then exchange appraisal opinions and form final appraisal opinions. The authorized signatory shall be at least one appraiser with certain working years and experience. 4.2 Understand the situation of fingerprints submitted for inspection Understand the location of the handprint object on the site and the position and direction of the handprint on the object.
