This standard replaces GA/T 724-2007 "Handprint Identification Procedure". Compared with GA/T 724-2007, the main technical changes are as follows.
--- Added requirements for appraisers and auditors (see 4.1);
--- Added the fingerprint requirements for inspection samples (see 4.3);
--- Added three-level feature comparison between the inspection material fingerprint and the sample fingerprint (see 5.2.3);
--- Added inspection records (see 5.6);
--- Change the "Handprint Identification Procedure" to "Handprint Identification Workflow" (see Chapter 5, Chapter 5 of the.2007 edition);
--- Change "Conclusion" to "Opinion" (see 5.4~5.6,.2007 version 5.4~5.5);
--- Change the "Issuance of Appraisal or Inspection Opinion" to "Issuance of Appraisal" (see 5.5, version 5.5 in.2007).

1 Scope
This standard specifies the steps and requirements for fingerprint identification in the field of forensic science.
This standard applies to criminal cases, civil cases, administrative cases and other fingerprint identification involving personal identification.

4 Preparation before fingerprint identification
4.1 Requirements for appraisers and auditors
Fingerprint identification should be completed by two (or more) qualified persons and meet the requirements for qualification. Each appraiser should proceed first
Independent appraisal, then exchange appraisal opinions and form final appraisal opinions.
The authorized signatory shall be at least one appraiser with certain working years and experience.
4.2 Understand the situation of fingerprints submitted for inspection
Understand the location of the handprint object on the site and the position and direction of the handprint on the object.
Understand the texture, size, shape and surface (color, smoothness, attachments) of the handprint object.
Understand the types of fingerprints, extraction time, extraction or display methods.
4.3 Inspection sample fingerprint
Sample fingerprints should be clear, complete, and undistorted.
The sample handprint should indicate the hand type and finger position.
In addition to the normal three-sided and flat stamping, the sample fingerprint should try to stamp the same parts as the fingerprint on the spot.
4.4 Making pictures
The sample fingerprint and the sample fingerprint are produced at the same scale with equal size pictures and scales.
