1 Scope
This standard specifies the basic functions and parameters, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs, packaging, transportation

This standard applies to a tester (hereinafter referred to as a moisture permeability meter) that uses the moisture absorption method or the evaporation method to measure the moisture permeability of fabrics.

3 Basic functions and parameters
3.1 Basic functions
3.1.1 The moisture permeability meter should be equipped with temperature and humidity measurement, control device and running time counting device.
3.1.2 The moisture permeability meter should provide at least the temperature and humidity test conditions specified in the following 4 groups.
a) Temperature (38 ± 2) ℃, relative humidity (90 ± 2)%;
b) Temperature (38 ± 2) ℃, relative humidity (50 ± 2)%;
c) Temperature (23 ± 2) ℃, relative humidity (50 ± 2)%;
d) Temperature (20 ± 2) ℃, relative humidity (65 ± 2)%.
Note. In GB/T 12704.1-2009, the test conditions of group a) are preferentially adopted, and the test conditions of groups c) and d) can also be adopted; GB/T 12704.2-2009 is preferred
The test conditions of group b) can be used, and the test conditions of groups c) and d) can also be used.
3.2 Basic parameters
See table 1 for the parameter division value and settable range of the temperature, relative humidity and test time of the moisture permeability meter.
