Foreword
This standard replaces FZ/T 90052-1993 "Elastic card clothing product classification, terminology and product marking".
Compared with FZ/T 90052-1993, the main changes of this standard are as follows.

FZ/T 90052-2004 is one of the series of elastic card clothing standards. The criteria below and the criteria that will be replaced are listed below.
a) elastic carding terms and definitions (instead of FZ/T 90052-1993);
b) elastic card clothing (instead of FZ/T 93020-1993, FZ/T 93021-1993 and FZ/T 93023-1993);

1 Scope
This standard specifies the basic terms and definitions of elastic card clothing.
This standard is applicable to the elastic card clothing for carding various fibers such as cotton, wool and hemp in textile production. It is also suitable for weaving and knitting in the textile industry.
An elastic card clothing which is woven by a woven fabric or the like, and an elastic card clothing for other purposes can also be referred to.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.

A strip or block flexible body composed of a base fabric and a comb.
