This standard specifies the test method for the determination of the sewing elongation of wool knitwear by the constant load method.

3 Principle
A force parallel to the stitch direction is applied to a predetermined length of stitch, and is stretched to a predetermined load at a constant rate. By calculating the seam extension

4 Equipment and Tools
4.1 Using a CRE type tensile tester or other device meeting the test requirements, the instrument shall have the following general characteristics.
a) Has the function of indicating or recording the stretching value or the elongation at the time of reaching the specified load, the error of elongation indication does not exceed ± 1mm;
b) The instrument should be able to set the tensile speed of 300mm/min with an accuracy of ±2%;
c) The instrument should be able to set a 100mm gauge length with an accuracy of ±1mm;
d) Holder. grasping test holder, dimensions and requirements in accordance with 6.1e) of GB/T 3923.2-2013;
e) The instrument should be able to set a fixed load value of 33N with an accuracy of ±0.5N.
