1 Scope

This standard specifies two methods for determining the total amount of inorganic fillers in polypropylene fibers and products, namely ashing-complexation titration (method A) and Thermogravimetric analysis (Method B) wherein the ashing-complexation titration method (Method A) can further determine the calcium carbonate content. This standard is applicable to fibers, nonwovens and other products made of polypropylene (PP).

4 Principle
