1 Scope

This standard specifies a two-component mixture of polyacrylonitrile fiber (acrylic) and certain modified polyacrylonitrile fibers (nitrile-acrylonitrile, meta-chloroacrylic) Quantitative chemical analysis methods. 3 Principle

The polyacrylonitrile fibers are dissolved and removed from the known dry mass mixture with potassium thiocyanate solution, the residues are collected, cleaned, dried and Weighing. The corrected mass is used to calculate its percentage of the dry mass of the mixture. From the difference, the mass percentage of polyacrylonitrile fiber was obtained.

4 Reagents
